This is just a selection of some of the goodies I'll have for sale at the Christmas markets I'll be attending.

Now for a little request. So I'm going to France soon and would love to know some crafty places you think I might like. I've been researching and have numerous books etc, but would love to know your favourites. I'm interested in fabric shops, food and generally inspiring little nooks and crannies.

Newcastle Christmas Markets

My blog absence has been due to my preparations for the markets I will be attending. This Saturday 27th November I'll be at The Red Lantern Night Market in the Hunter Street Mall, Newcastle 4pm-9pm. I can't wait. I went shopping last Saturday night at the markets, which was great. Being a complete carnie, it's hard to get out and see what other crafty people are up to. The Red Lantern also has another market on December the 11th.

On the Saturday the 4th of December I'll be at The Art Bazaar in Civic Park, Newcastle from 9am-3pm then I'll be rocking over to The Olive Tree Twilight Market in The Junction at The Junction Public School from 4pm -9pm -yes I'm completely nuts, but my other nutters are doing it too. The Olive Tree also has another Twilight market on the 18th of December, but am unable to attend this one. Do pop along and support us crafty novacastrians.

The Wedding - Final - The Floating Table Girls

Here are the floating tables that the groom and I sawed, hammered and screwed. I then sewed all the table skirts. Each table skirt was about 4 metres around. By the end of it I had white line fever on the sewing machine. The Mogul put together the outfit and the wigs. They looked so spectacular. The girls were great and sipped champagne and were wonderfully aloof. My sister's camera went a bit yellow in these pics, but the dresses were cream with a light pink stripe. Outside the venue they had the kissing booth, doll box and a throwing horse shoe game. (sorry don't have a decent pic of this) Best wedding I've ever been to as it had the drama and more fun than you could poke a stick at.

The Wedding - Bride and The Kiss

Here are some more lovely pics of my sister 'The Mogul's' wedding. She looked so stunning. The groom and I knocked out the kissing booth based on this cool wedding I found. I loved it so much I showed The Mogul and she loved the kissing booth idea. So voila - kissing booth with cute heart accessories. I revamped The Mogul's doll box with some new signage. We had my designs cut out in vinyl which we stuck on the kissing booth and the doll box. The doll box was mounted with a very fetching wedding dress, which we found at the Salvo's for $30 and a similarly fetching veil and some quite ugly big footed ladies shoes which I pimped up with fabric bows. Ohh, so classy - I know. The dress was made for an extremely little person and the only person that fit into it was my eight year old niece, hence I took to it with a pair of scissors and made it a slip in from behind number - effective no? The guy in the monkey suit was the master of ceremony. The kiddies loved this little freakster. My dad wore his 40 year old suit and looked so spiffy.
